Killing your brother is just another Wednesday on the savannah. Seriously, no one cares. Dude lions are ejected from their natal prides around three and wander the wastes as nomads, either alone or with their brothers. Until one fateful day they think, "This is bullshit," and usurp a neighboring pride with a weak male. Coalitions tend to have larger territories and more kids because they can split procreation and patrol duty and sorry there's no lion Maury so we're just taking Sarabi's word for it.
The Lion King’s Simba and Nala are probably half-siblings and we’re creeped out

Eventually, some lionesses had to travel over to the next savannah to hunt food for the group, and today those lionesses were Nala and Zira. Stuart was silently glad for this, even if the three of them had been awfully close lately. Fans of the classic and enemies of happiness have pointed out that facts about lions and their mating rituals mean that Simba and Nala are actually half-siblings — despite going on to have a cub together. In The Lion King, King of the Pride Lands Mufasa is the only grown male mentioned in the pride, other than his little brother Scar, who lives on the edge of the community and is more or less isolated. In the real-life wilderness, lion prides usually have a small number of males, or just one, due to competition between the males. This means that the solitary male is responsible for all the mating in the pride.
